Medieval Round Shield “BALDWIN” in Wood with Crossed Steel Fittings

The round shield “BALDWIN” is a decorative wooden shield combining a dark wood appearance with prominent steel and leather elements. Its striking design makes it particularly suitable for medieval-inspired equipment, collections and decorative displays.

The front features a dark brown wooden surface with clearly defined individual wooden sections. Its central decorative feature consists of two broad steel fittings running diagonally across the shield to form a large X. Their shaped ends add further decorative character to the design.

The outer edge is enclosed by a continuous steel rim, complemented by additional decorative steel fittings positioned at four opposing sections. The deliberately rustic appearance of the metal contrasts with the dark wood and reinforces the shield's medieval-inspired character.

The reverse is also elaborately finished and covered with dark leather. Two riveted leather straps with adjustable buckles allow the shield to be held or carried.

“BALDWIN” is designed as a decorative round shield. It is suitable as an accessory for medieval or fantasy-inspired portrayals, as wall decoration or a collector's piece, and as a prop for LARP, costumes, photography, theatre, film and television. The manufacturer does not specify suitability for stage combat.
