Viking Hand Axe “MJÖLNIR” – Decorated with Nordic Patterns
The small Viking hand axe “MJÖLNIR” is a compact axe featuring numerous Nordic-inspired details. Particularly striking are its decorated wooden haft and genuine bone end cap, which bears a depiction of Mjölnir, the mighty hammer of Thor.
The solid forged axe head is made from durable X46Cr13 stainless steel. The blade is supplied sharpened and, according to the manufacturer's specifications, has a hardness of approximately 52 HRC.
Forged X46Cr13 Stainless Steel Head
The solid axe head is made from stainless X46Cr13 steel. Unlike many historical or historically inspired axes made from non-stainless carbon steel, this material provides increased resistance to corrosion.
The cutting edge is sharpened. Despite the axe's compact dimensions, it is therefore a sharp object that should always be handled carefully and stored securely.
Wooden Haft with Nordic Engravings
The comfortably shaped haft is made from wood and features deeply engraved Nordic patterns on both sides. These decorations give the small hand axe its distinctive Nordic-inspired appearance.
A decorative end cap made from genuine bone completes the haft. It features a depiction of Mjölnir, the hammer of the Norse god Thor. This detail incorporates one of the best-known motifs of Norse mythology and makes the axe a particularly distinctive collector's piece.
Leather Sheath and Lined Box Included
A matching leather belt sheath is included, allowing the axe to be stored with its blade protected and carried on a suitable belt.
“MJÖLNIR” also comes in a presentation box lined with faux fur. This makes the complete set particularly suitable for attractive storage and display.

Care Instructions
The axe head is made from X46Cr13 stainless steel and is therefore more resistant to corrosion than non-stainless carbon steel. Nevertheless, the axe should be stored in a dry place and cleaned and thoroughly dried after exposure to moisture. The wooden and bone components should also be protected from prolonged exposure to moisture.
