Viking Sword “KOPENHAGEN” – SK-B Reenactment Sword Inspired by a 10th-Century Original
The Viking sword “KOPENHAGEN” takes its inspiration from a 10th-century sword held by the National Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen. Its design combines the characteristic appearance of a Viking Age one-handed sword with a blunt blade and a construction specifically intended for reenactment.
Broad Carbon Steel Blade with Fuller
The blunt blade is made from carbon steel and has a particularly broad profile. A wide fuller runs along the blade, significantly reducing its weight while allowing the blade to retain the strength intended by this construction.
This model is the reenactment-ready version of the Viking sword and is classified as SK-B reenactment combat quality.
Steel Hilt with Leather-Wrapped Grip
The short guard and pommel are made from steel, giving the sword a straightforward and functional appearance. The grip is wrapped with leather, completing its early medieval-inspired design.
Wood-and-Leather Scabbard Included
A matching scabbard with a wooden core and leather wrapping is included. A metal chape protects and decorates its lower end.
A wooden bracket serves as a belt loop and allows the scabbard to be worn on belts up to approximately 5 cm wide.
Designed for Reenactment
“KOPENHAGEN” is explicitly designed as the reenactment version of this Viking sword and is particularly suitable for historical reenactment. Its blunt blade and SK-B classification distinguish it from a regular decorative or collector's version.
Even a reenactment sword remains a heavy steel object, and an SK-B classification does not make it injury-proof. The blade, grip, guard and pommel should be inspected for damage or looseness before every use.

Care Instructions
The carbon steel used for the blade is not stainless. Protect the blade from moisture and clean and thoroughly dry it after handling or use. Regularly applying a thin coat of suitable weapon or maintenance oil will help prevent corrosion. After reenactment use in particular, the sword should be checked for moisture, dirt and damage.
