Vendel Sword “UPPSALA” – Tinned Brass Hilt

Vendel Sword “UPPSALA” – reconstruction with a tinned brass hilt

The Vendel sword “UPPSALA” is a detailed reconstruction of a richly decorated boat-grave find from a ship burial site near Uppsala, Sweden. Its unsharpened blade is forged from EN45 spring steel, while the guard and multi-part pommel are cast from brass and tinned to create a silver appearance. Red enamel, antiqued brass accents and a brown leather-wrapped grip reflect the prestigious character of the historical original.
