Vendel Sword “ULTUNA” – Scandinavian prestige sword with decorated brass hilt

The Vendel sword “ULTUNA” reconstructs a richly decorated boat-grave find from a ship burial site near Uppsala in Sweden. Dating to the 7th–8th century, the historical original is believed to have been a prestige or ceremonial weapon belonging to a high-ranking owner. Its unsharpened EN45 spring steel blade, richly decorated brass hilt and brown wooden and leather scabbard reflect the magnificent character of the archaeological find.
