Norse stainless steel pendant with raven shield and Vegvisir design
The “Hrafnskjöld” pendant combines two iconic elements of Norse symbolism in a detailed stainless steel design. The front side features a stylized Viking shield with two mirrored raven motifs, framed by a solid shield structure with darkened details and fine engravings.
Ravens held an important place in Norse tradition and were often associated with wisdom, observation and the myths of the northern gods. The design gives the pendant a strong and dark appearance closely connected to Viking Age symbolism.
The reverse side displays the Vegvisir, an Icelandic symbol associated with guidance and finding one’s way, surrounded by rune symbols and ornamental knotwork. This allows the pendant to be worn on either side depending on style and preference.
The darkened details create strong contrast and emphasize the intricate craftsmanship. Combined with the durable stainless steel construction and the massive braided chain, the pendant gains a powerful and authentic Norse appearance.
