Viking Bangle “Valknut” with Thor's Hammer in Stainless Steel
This wide Viking bangle combines several well-known Norse-inspired motifs in a distinctive piece of stainless steel jewellery.
At the centre is a Valknut consisting of three interlocking triangles. The symbol is known from archaeological imagery dating to the Viking Age and is often associated with Odin and themes surrounding death and fallen warriors. Its exact historical meaning, however, has not been conclusively established.
On either side of the central symbol are stylised Thor's Hammer designs and additional geometric ornaments. Mjölnir, the hammer of the god Thor, is one of the best-known symbols of Norse mythology and was already used as an amulet motif during the Viking Age.
The silver-coloured decorations stand out clearly against the darkened recesses, highlighting the individual symbols and lines and giving the bangle its distinctive character.
The inside features an irregular, hammered-looking texture. Thanks to its open design, the bangle can be easily slipped over the wrist.
With a width of approx. 16 mm and a weight of around 47 g, this bangle has a substantial and noticeable appearance. It is suitable as Norse-inspired everyday jewellery as well as an accessory for Viking and medieval outfits.
