Cast Viking Axe Type C with Engraving and Leather Wrapping
Axes were important tools and weapons in Viking daily life. They were used for felling trees, woodworking and combat. Depending on their intended use, axe heads were made in different shapes and sizes from materials such as stone, bone or metal.
Many Viking axes were richly decorated and served not only as practical tools but also as symbols of status. Today, Viking axes remain popular among collectors and are often featured in movies, TV series and video games to represent the image of fierce and fearless Norse warriors.
This Viking axe follows the historical Petersen Type C design. The axe head is made from EN45 carbon steel and decorated with a Norse-inspired engraved motif. The shaft is crafted from sturdy ash wood and wrapped with leather.
This early medieval axe is primarily intended as a collector’s item or decorative display piece. It is also perfectly suitable as a prop for reenactment, LARP and historical costumes.
